Treatment Approaches & Methodologies

Comprehensive overview of treatment methodologies used to achieve exceptional patient outcomes across various cancer types.

Our Multidisciplinary (MDT) Approach

||Why a Team Approach?|| Cancer is complex. No single doctor can cover every aspect of diagnosis and treatment. That’s why we use a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) approach – bringing together different specialists to design the best plan for you. ||Who is in Your MDT?|| 1. Cancer Specialists (Medical, Surgical, Radiation Oncologists) – decide the best mix of surgery, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, or radiotherapy. 2. Radiologists – review scans (CT, MRI, PET-CT) to understand the full picture. 3. Pathologists – study biopsy samples to confirm the exact cancer type and biology. 4. Nurses & Support Staff – guide you through treatment, side-effect care, and emotional support. 5. Other Experts (as needed) – depending on the cancer type (lung, breast, GI, gynecological, etc.). ||How We Care for You|| 1. Diagnosis & Staging: Tests (biopsy, imaging) confirm the type of cancer and whether it is localized (limited) or metastatic (spread). 2. MDT Discussion: Your case is presented at the tumor board. All specialists review your results and decide on a personalized treatment plan. 3. Treatment Plan a. Localized Cancer: Often treated with surgery and/or radiotherapy, plus medicines (chemotherapy, hormonal, or targeted therapy) to reduce risk of recurrence. b. Metastatic Cancer: Treatment focuses on controlling the disease, extending survival, and maintaining quality of life with systemic therapies and supportive care. 4. Treatment Implementation: You receive treatment in a step-by-step, coordinated manner. Each step is monitored and adjusted if needed. ||Follow-up & Survivorship|| After treatment, regular visits, scans, and counseling ensure early detection of recurrence, management of side effects, and long-term well-being. ||The Benefit to You|| 1. One team, many experts working for you 2. Personalized care – no two patients get the same plan 3. Evidence-based decisions backed by the latest guidelines 4. Better survival & quality of life compared to single-specialist treatment

Breast Cancer- Early Detection & Our Multidisciplinary Approach

||Erly Detection Saves Lives|| *Breast cancer outcomes improve significantly when the disease is detected at an early stage. At our center, we encourage: 1. Self-awareness – Regular breast self-examination helps identify unusual lumps or changes. 2. Screening – Mammogram, ultrasound, and, when needed, MRI for high-risk women allow detection before symptoms appear. 3. Prompt Evaluation – Any suspicious finding is quickly assessed by imaging and biopsy to ensure an accurate diagnosis. ||Why a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Matters|| Breast cancer treatment is not one-size-fits-all. Every patient’s case is discussed in our multidisciplinary tumor board, which includes: 1. Radiologists – To interpret imaging and define the extent of disease. 2. Pathologists – To confirm the exact tumor type and molecular profile. 3. Breast Surgeons – To plan surgery with the best oncologic and cosmetic outcome. 4. Medical Oncologists – To advise on chemotherapy, targeted therapy, or immunotherapy. 5. Radiation Oncologists – To design safe and effective radiotherapy plans. Together, this team reviews your case and decides on the most effective, personalized treatment plan. ||Our Treatment Pathway|| 1. Diagnosis & Staging – Imaging (mammogram, USG, MRI, PET-CT) and biopsy confirm the cancer and stage. 2. MDT Discussion – Experts meet to analyze findings and recommend the best course of treatment. 3. Individualized Treatment – This may include surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal therapy, or a combination. 3. Follow-Up & Support – Long-term monitoring, survivorship care, and counseling ensure ongoing health and quality of life. ||Patient Benefit|| 1. One-stop coordinated care 2. Evidence-based decisions 3. Higher accuracy in diagnosis and staging 4. Treatment tailored for best survival and quality of life
